BOOKER MEMORIAL HALL
CONDITIONS OF HIRE FOR PRIVATE USERS

1.    The full amount for hiring the hall (including any refundable deposit) must be paid 14 days before the hire date. The signed tear off slip agreeing to abide by these conditions of hire must be received with the payment.

2.    The maximum capacity of the hall is 120 persons (to comply with fire regulations).

3.    The hall, stage, kitchen and toilets are included in the hire. The committee room is not included within this agreement.

4.    Public dances and functions for private gain are not allowed and the hirers must not sell tickets or take cash at the door.

5.    The closing time for all functions shall be no later than 11.30pm and the premises must be vacated no later than 11.45pm.

6.    The hirer shall not fix decorations or articles of any description to the ceilings, walls or floors without permission.

7.    The hirer shall pay for any loss or damage and shall be responsible for good order and behaviour. The hirer should provide approved stewards should this be necessary.

8.    The Committee does not accept responsibility for any loss of property or injury to persons on or off the premises.

9.    The premises must be left clean and tidy to the satisfaction of the Committee and all rubbish removed and put in bin bags provided and placed in the outside bin. The Committee reserves the right to make a charge should you not do so.

10.    Any electrical equipment used must not exceed a total output of 2500 WATTS from the stage 123 AMP socket and 150 WATTS from the hall’s 13 AMPsocket.

11.    The hall is situated in a residential area and hirers are asked to keep the noise to a minimum during functions and when leaving the hall (eg no slamming of doors, revving of engines or shouting etc. please).

12.    THE FIRE EXITS MUST NOT BE IMPEDED AND MUST BE KEPT CLEAR OF ANY OBSTRUCTIONS AT ALL TIMES.

13.    The Committee reserves the right, in the event of circumstances beyond their control, to cancel a booking and where possible to give one month’s notice. The Committee may cancel without notice if any information provided by the hirer is incorrect of misleading in any way.

14.    The Committee reserves the right to visit the premises at any time during the function to ensure the Conditions of Hire are executed.

15.    A refundable deposit will be charged. Such deposit will be refunded in whole or part at the Management Committee’s discretion depending on the hall being left in an acceptable condition,  the Hall’s neighbours not being inconvenienced and the contracted hours being adhered to. (If the hirer exceeds the hours booked they will be charged for each additional hour and part thereof.)
